Exotics Control

To control targeted, non-native plants, we use approaches specifically suited to client objectives, site conditions, plant species, and natural zone parameters.    Approaches can include hand eradication, mowing, and chemical applications as well as installation of fabric mulch, biobarriers and other innovative techniques appropriate for the site.

With our experience and extensive plant knowledge, we respond quickly to client needs for solving problems with exotics.  Our staff is trained to identify exotics for selective plant management.  We have licensed, trained and certified professionals for chemical applications.

Follow-up Care and Monitoring

Following completion of a revegetation project, WildLands offers a range of follow-up care and monitoring services to meet project needs and specifications.  We will assess the health and growth of the vegetation, documenting and tracking plant establishment and survival. We will provide maintenance watering, soil amendments, exotics control, and browse protection.  For large mitigation sites, we will provide 6- to 8-person crews and equipment for scheduled visits to the site to monitor plant growth; maintain irrigation systems; and control pests, predators and weeds.

We use various techniques for protecting newly planted sites from human and animal intrusion and damage from insects or predators on the surface or subsurface.  For browse protection, we use mesh cages, solid-wall tubes or other photo-degrading or wire devices.  For certain shrub and tree species, we have devised unique browse protection systems that also promote plant growth and establishment.
